Alex Fruin
American tenor Alex Fruin is a native of Mattawan, Michigan where he attended Mattawan High School, graduating with excellence in Fine Arts. While living in Michigan he had the pleasure of being a featured young artist on 102.1 WMUK. He also had the honor of competing in the Bravo! competition in 2013 and 2014 for which he won both times. He was also a competed at Illinois NATS in 2012 where he placed 1st, and at Michigan NATS where he placed 3rd place for 2014 and 2015. He has performed several partial roles which include Richard from Gilbert & Sullivan's Ruddigore, Ernest from The Grand Duke, Alexis from The Sorceror, Basilio in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, and Mitch from Joseph and David Zelnik's Just True. Mr. Fruin is currently pursuing his Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University where studies with world renowned countertenor Mark Crayton.
