The Bach and Beethoven Ensemble is proud to kickoff its first ever tour in June 2015 as it travels to the Northeastern United States. The BBE will also give its debut appearance at the Boston Early Music Festival on the BEMF Fringe Festival series.

Brandi Berry (violin), Thomas Aláan (countertenor), Phil Spray (Baroque guitar and cello), and special guest Matthew Dean (tenor) will present a concert of English music--with an Italian twist! Included will be vocal and instrumental movements from The Gentle Shepherd, a pastoral comedy by Allan Ramsay considered to be the first Scottish Opera; the music of Henry Purcell; drinking songs featured in Calliope, or English Harmony; and instrumental works by


St. Luke (NYC) & Christ Church (Hartford): $20 (general admission), $10 (students & seniors), or free (13 and under)

Holy Cross (Boston): Free admission, but a free-will donation of $20 is suggested
